Walking through the park to the hotel where they were staying, Fai couldn't help but stop to look at the flowers. Since his world had been completely covered in ice and snow, they really didn't have flowers quite like there were in so many of the other worlds, such as the one they were currently in.

"Kuro-pi! Come look at these! Aren't they adorable?" Fai smiled as he dragged Kurogane from the path walk over to the flowers. The flowers in question were blue chrysanthemums and Kurogane couldn't help but think their color looked an awful lot like the mage's eyes. He cursed his brain for such dumb thoughts.

"Enough with the stupid flowers. Let's go. We've figured out where the feather is, so let's go tell Syaoran and Sakura," Kurogane omitted the insults he was considering in his head because he knew he would get back to the hotel faster if he didn't end up chasing the stupid mage all around the park.

"But they're so pretty! I know Kuro-chan must think they're beautiful, just like me!" Fai laughed. It was too easy to heat up Kurogane's temper. And it was such fun.

"YEAH RIGHT, YOU IDIOT!" Kurogane yelled. So much for keeping calm.

They returned to the hotel much later, after circling the park a few times.

The next day, Kurogane made a special trip to the park before they moved on to the next world. He knew Fai actually really did love the flowers, even if he had been stupid about it.

"Here," Kurogane said as he shoved the bouquet in front of Fai. Kurogane would have never called it a bouquet and he would have never admitted to anyone that he had picked them especially for Fai. Most of all to himself. He was ashamed enough of himself already. What had he been thinking? A warrior picking flowers? It was all too ridiculous. What would Souma say?

Fai was shocked, to say the least. Kurogane never displayed any form of affection. Fai doubted this would ever be repeated.

"Why, thank you, Sir," he said, doing his best Jane Austen impression.

"This doesn't mean anything. I mean, it was just-"

Kurogane's explanation was cut off by Fai's kiss. It was short and sweet, and left Kurogane blushing. He was definitely a sight to see. Fai almost couldn't help his laughter. Almost.

"Thank you, Kuro-sama. I love them," Fai proclaimed smiling.

It caused the ninja to just blushed even more.

A/N:

Well, my first fan fiction ever. I feel slightly ashamed of myself, since I've always been someone who strongly disliked fanfics. But here I am, publishing one. -_-"

Anyway, please, critism is greatly appreciated. Also, if someone catches any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes, please tell me.

PS:

There is a really pretty picture of the flowers in question on my profile, since I don't seem able to paste a link here.

PPS:

I may write about Fai watching Pride & Prejudice with Kurogane in another world if I feel like it. And if Fai & Kurogane let me. Getting Fai to sit still would be tough and getting Kurogane to watch a romance would be harder. lol.

I can so see Fai making him.
