Airwolf is somebody else's, probably Universal's or Bellisarius', and I freely admit that whoever's it is, I'm borrowing their show and they retain all rights, etc.
This is the ninth story that I'm writing to cover the period between the end of the 3rd season and the beginning of the 4th. If you have read the other eight (Single Parent Hawke, The Jade Wolf, The Truth About Caitlin, Old Friends New Enemies, Hawke's Wolf, Father Figures, Personal Business and Hidden Truths), you can skip straight to the story in the next chapter…or read this brief recap of the story so far:
Stringfellow Hawke has said farewell to Le, the boy he incorrectly believed to be his nephew. Le is now living in Seattle with his newly found mother, Ana. After Caitlin O'Shaunessy almost dies saving Hawke's life, a short separation makes both of them realise what they mean to each other and the couple happily begin a relationship.
Having seen off a challenge to get Airwolf from a task force led by the power hungry General Bening, and having taken part in a rescue mission which ends with the death of his estranged uncle Alex, Hawke appreciates his relationship with Dominic Santini who raised him and his brother. After Dom suffers chest pains and heads to Italy to recuperate, Hawke is running Santini Air when Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III, asks him to fly him to Russia on personal business. Hawke backs up Michael and they return successfully with Michael's newfound daughter, Angelina. Shortly after, Dom arrives back from Italy unexpectedly with a new lady friend, Rosa.
Hawke and Caitlin have their doubts about Rosa but a mission to rescue the Director of the FIRM, Zeus, takes priority. They track him down to Solartech, a company with known ties to another intelligence agency. Hawke searches the highly secure buildings and in the final one, finds Zeus in the locked basement. As the security system is linked to Airwolf's computer, Hawke attempts to signal Michael by inputting Airwolf's own security code to open the lock. It works allowing him to rescue Zeus. Michael confronts Zeus about why the other agency tried to prevent the director from speaking to a Senate Oversight Committee and Zeus admits that the Senate is considering amalgamating some of the intelligence agencies to reduce operating costs; the FIRM isn't safe from their considerations.
On their return from the mission, Dom confides that he is going to ask Rosa to marry him. Hawke ignores Dom's instruction not to do a background check on Rosa leading to an angry confrontation. Alerted by the security check, General Bening's daughter turns up and informs them that Rosa is actually her aunt, Rosalind, and she's after revenge. The Airwolf team save Dom and Rosa/Rosalind is left in a coma after she attempts to kill him. Hawke comforts a broken-hearted Dom, telling him they are family and will always be around for each other. An update from Michael the next day brings a final surprise for Hawke; Bening's daughter has given them her father's file on Hawke's brother Saint John. For the first time, Hawke receives solid information on what happened to his brother after 'Nam and he is left with renewed hope that he'll find his missing brother.
And now the next instalment: Homecomings
