The Sacrifices We Make
When Taha Aki looked at his third wife, he knew that she was the one. There was something about her that seemed to stick out and he never knew what it was, but he did not care. Every touch, every look took him by surprise and gave him another jolt of energy; she was his everything. She was elegant and beautiful, much more than he asked for. Taha Aki loved her and knew that she would be her soul mate. And she knew that same thing of him.
To be with her, he had given up switching into his wolf form to grow old with her. To rather stop aging and stay young forever to protect their tribe with his comrades and sons, he decided to go with age to be with her. That was his sacrifice to her.
Many years later, when Taha Aki was informed of the disappearing to a neighboring village, he was called back in action ordering his son to find what was happening and who or what was behind it. They finally did. This, 'thing' looked like the goddess of dawn; the sun glittered off her white skin and lit the golden hair that flowed down to her knees. She was a cold blood drinker, avenging her mate's death on the Quileutes. They called her the Cold Woman. She triggered Taha Aki to fight, along with his wife and sons.
The fight was close; lives were being lost by this blood drinker. Her wild eyes searched for much more victims during this 'war'. The witnesses that saw that slaughter told the council which included Taha Aki. Hearing these stories made his heart beat more in anger. His son, Yaha Uta was one of those that were lost. In vengeance, he transformed back into his spirit wolf which showed his age, but was stronger and fought her as the fighting continued.
Meanwhile, Taha Aki's third wife witnessed her son's death. She had no hope that her husband could win although she had a small chance of hope. But she remembered every word the witnesses had said about this woman and heard about her son's first victory and knew about his brother's diversion that had saved him. With a quick decision, she grabbed a knife from her son who stood beside her and ran towards the Cold Woman.
When she approached, she raised that dagger high as the Cold Woman saw. The Cold Woman thought nothing of this knowing that this human would not be able to kill her since her skin was marble and hard. She was immortal. But that's not what the third wife was thinking. That was no where near what the third wife was thinking.
She had to do this for her tribe but mostly for her Taha Aki. She would not have him die like this; he was going to win this fight; she would be sure of it. A quick glance at him, Goodbye, my love. She thought.
The third woman then fell to her knees at the blood drinker's feet and plunged the knife into her own heart letting the blood spurt through her fingers splashing against the cold woman. The Cold Woman apporoached her, but never got to drink for Taha Aki closed his teeth around her neck and his two young sons helped finish her off.
And that was her sacrifice to him.

A/N: I thought of this just now and had to write it down. If you think about it, it makes sense, he sacrificed his wolf form to be with her and she sacrificed her life to save their tribe. Very admirable if you ask me, please review and let me know what you think. :D
