Disclaimer: Yuugiou (Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters) is the property of Takahashi Kazuki and respective publishers, including Shueisha, Studio Gallop, Nihon Ad Systems, Toei Animation, 4Kids, and others. I would never claim to own it or attempt to make money off of it- just think of this as a written, free doujinshi and hopefully we'll get along fine ;)

Notes: Started because I'm a sap, and because I thought it would be a fun way to try out a series of 'perfect' drabbles (exactly 100 words each). That didn't work out, so instead I'm working with an upper limit of 200 words per drabble. And because I'm very much a sap, the prompt table I'm using is one I wrote a while back, made up of Japanese terms which commonly occur in romantic songs.

Meguriai: If you look 'meguriai' up in a dictionary, you'll probably see 'chance meeting' listed as its translation. But meguriai is more than that. 'Meguru' is 'to go around', and refers to something which keeps happening, like the planets circling the sun, the seasons coming each year, or time passing. Meguriai isn't just a chance meeting, but a meeting which is meant to happen. Call it fate or call it nature, but it's going to happen and then happen again…and may have happened before, at that.

Anzu has no patience for bullying or 'teasing'. It's cowardly and cruel. But she can't often do much about it, either. The other girls ignore her when she disagrees with them, and boys don't really listen to girls, especially when things get rough.

But that boy, that one who always sits in the back of class… He listened to her last week, when they were assigned to work in a group together. And he's short, too short to properly stand up to those idiots picking on him.

She's a dancer, and she's been taking lessons for what feels like all her life. Maybe her kicks will be better than her punches.

They are, and the boys run, but not before she grabs the thing they'd taken. Some sort of puzzle…it looks interesting. She'll ask him what it is, and listen, too.

"Here you are…Yuugi, right?"
