Forbidden Love
Prologue
Puck arrives outside my door at 6 pm. He probably wants to see Beth, but who knows?
"What are you doing here, Puck?" I ask.
He responds, "Um, to see Beth. Quinn wants to see her, but I told her that she can't come until she cleans herself up."
I smile. "Sure, you can see Beth." I say, then bend down at her crib to pick her up. Puck stares at me and shuts the door.
"Can I hold her?" Puck asks me.
I hand Beth over to her father. Puck looks so happy he could cry.
"I made Beth something." He says, then hands me a picture of what could look like a pig with the words 'too Beth'.
"Aw, that's so sweet!" I say, then put it on the fridge.
"Do you think that Beth needs to go to sleep, Shelby?" He asks me.
"Yeah. I think she looks a little tired." And with that said, I reach over and put Beth in the crib. When I stand up, Puck's face is near mine. I can't say anything, but I know this is wrong. Without a word, Puck kisses me.
