Disclaimer: I don't own Gakuen Alice
Windows Aren't Doors
You'd think she'd have the mind not to jump off a window. Really, after being in this school for such a long time, you might've thought she could set apart a glass window from a door. After all, doors were usually far bigger and you never ever walk out a window unless you wanted to die or escape- seeing as the only one who could escape from a high ground level was me, that was pretty much impossible for her.
-and besides, the thought of Mikan Sakura as suicidal was just insane- two words that would never go together. She was much too happy to purposely jump off a window.
Then when she was asked, she claimed she thought it was a door and she kept apologizing repeatedly for no reason.
...Making it seem like I actually care. I don't, really. I was just worried about the victims from the fall. Think about all those people who might have been hit and all the property that might have been damaged. Apparently she landed on some soft bushes. Almost gave everyone a heart attack.
It went something like this:
Hotaru: Give me back my money. ( In middle of taking a photograph when news errupted.)
Ruka: Sakura-san, are you OK?
Me: Idiot.
Everyone else: People actually fall off windows? o_O
So as expected, the next day she came to class with a broken arm and that stupid smile. Like she was happy she fell and broke her arm. No harm, no need to worry.
But I did.
I cared for polka-dots, the former no-star and the idiot who mistook a window for a door.
Then later I found out someone decorated the window to look like a door so I hunted her-
Except when I found her, she was actually a he. And so I did what I usually did. I threatened him with my alice and he ran away like there was no tomorrow. Served the bastard right for hurting Mik - the idiot. Let it be a lesson for anyone who dare hurt who mattered to me.
When the idiot apologized to me again later on, she started to cry all of a sudden. I clenched my fist. I didn't like seeing her hurt. Then I cursed myself for letting the bastard go.
But what the heck, I swear she always cries.
When I gave a simple, questioning look, she pointed at the wound on my arm inflicted from last night's mission.
I rolled my eyes and told her not to worry.
She smiled again.
-And she told me I was complicated. One minute she cries and the next she was looking at you with a smile. Amazing how the idiot could smile all the time.
"You sure you can walk back?" I asked her, raising a brow. I wasn't exactly sure about her safety. Who knew, maybe she'd land her face on the trunk of a tree, thinking it was her bedroom door and the moon was the handy lampshade.
She laughed lightly and said, "It's my arm that's broken, Natsume."
I think I could see that.

A/N: It's so short and it's so random, but I needed something to save me from my current boredom. A oneshot.
