Safe and Sound
I stood outside, crying about everything. I had no clue what was going on, except my best friend, Glinda, had gotten thrown in prison, because the people had probably found out that we had been best friends. I didn't know why that that would have happened. She had been my first friend, the first girl to see past my green skin. Did I love her? Not caring if they saw me, I ran to where they had Glinda imprisoned, I wanted to help her, but it might be too late! I heard Glinda's panicked cries, and they frightened me. What were they doing to her?
Reaching the walls of the prison, I said they spell that would destroy everything but my Glinda's wall. I saw that she was down at the bottom, but I had another problem. The guards were beating her. I heard her draw sharp breaths. Oh Oz, I was late! But maybe, my other spell would save her. I said it, and the guards froze in the air. Without a bother, I run to her and see my Glinda covered in blood.
"El-ph-ie..." Glinda breaths.
"Shh, everything will be fine." I said.
All that's going through my mind is if she's going to be okay. Why did I remember every other spell, except for the one that would save her? I close my eyes and try not to let my tears fall, but some threaten to come pouring out of my eyes.
"S-sing for me." She said.

After I sang this, Glinda breathes her last breath in my arms. I let her fall to the floor, and then I ran as fast as I could to safe so I could mourn her.
