Helena sighed as she looked over the words freshly inked onto paper. She folded the paper once, addressed it, and pressed it to her lips. She then walked over to where the stern woman stood and handed her the document, "Make sure she gets this, will you?" Mrs. Frederick nodded once and turned, headed for the door. As she disappeared, Helena reached for her locket, brushing her fingers along the cold chain. She wasn't sure if Myka would ever read her note, but the words still ran through her mind.
The words I dare not speak
Your presence always lingers here
Creeping ever closer, I fear.
The space between is agony
For where you are I cannot be.
I always meant these words for you,
A broken heart deserves the truth.
The moment your eyes captured mine,
I knew that love could travel time.
I fell for you that very day,
My breath forever taken away.
It may be cruel to say this now,
I cannot ignore this love I found.
Darling, if I could change the past,
I would take it all back and make it last.
The path I chose has led me here,
Far from the one I hold most dear.
What I have done I can't erase,
But of your love I had a taste.
My bleeding heart, my greatest fault,
Was thinking I could love at all.
These are the words I dare not speak,
For "I Love You" is obsolete.
***Hey everybody, sorry I haven't been around. I've been really busy with classes and such. The idea for this has been eating at my brain for a while and I had to get it out. I'll be back soon but please enjoy!
