Naruto had watched them die together. He had seen Haku's face as he grabbed Kakashi's hand, heard him say his last words.
He had seen Zabuza cry, seen the tears fall down the devil man's face as Naruto's words reached him. He had seen Zabuza fight with the might of a demon, all for Haku.
He had seen Zabuza reach for Haku's face, despite the kunai lodged in the muscle of his arms.
He had seen them die at eachother's sides.
They were buried that same way, and Naruto vowed never to forget them.
