I know that we aren't supposed to post author's notes as a story on their own, but I wanted to do this, so please don't get too mad at me! :)

Hi! It's been a while... A very long while, actually.

Last time I updated a story was October 16th, 2016.

Today is July 7th, 2018.

I'm sure a hell of a lot has changed by now.

And I'm sure that there are many people here that know nothing about me or my stories.

But I used to be really active in this community.

It was my world.

Things have changed, of course, and most people that remember me are probably long gone, but I'm doing this for my own piece of mind.

So before I offer up an explanation of everything that's happened since I was here and why I stopped, let me start with some honesty.

My name is not Alexis.

It's Ava.

I am 15 years old.

When I started this account (July 13th, 2015), I was 13.

With that out of the way, I want to say some things about why this has been left behind...

A) I finally branched out into other fandoms!

B) High school!

C) I've been working for a very long time on my own fantasy series, and now I'm also writing a musical!

So in the time that I was gone, I have...

1. Seen my first Broadway show! Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 by Dave Malloy! Saw Dave Malloy, Denee Benton, Lucas Steele, Brittain Ashford, Nick Choksi, Grace McLean, Amber Gray, Gelsey Bell, Nick Belton, Paul Pinto, and the amazing ensemble (minus Lulu Fall, unfortunately) and had the most amazing time of my life.

2. Seen my first tour of a Broadway production! Book of Mormon!

3. Seen 2 other regional productions, Jekyll & Hyde (with Constantine Maroulis and Tiffany Haas!) and Preludes, also by Dave Malloy!

4. Begun writing a musical of my own!

5. Gotten into so many amazing musicals! To name a few; Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (my favorite musical!). Preludes. Ghost Quartet. Hadestown (which will be going to Broadway next year!). Book of Mormon. Jekyll & Hyde. Rent (I'll be seeing it on tour in January!). Lizzie. I just listened to A Letter to Harvey Milk and I'm halfway through Something Rotten! (which I'll also be seeing, but in November!).

6. Gotten into an academy for vocal music!

So as I go into my sophomore year in September, I want to close out this one chapter of my life. Wicked was my catalyst. My gateway drug into musicals.

I can't thank everyone who has been there for me enough. If you followed me, read any of my stories, left a review or two, pm'd me, thank you!

So let me properly introduce myself before I say goodbye.

My name is Ava. I am 15. I'm going to an academy for vocal music. My favorite musical is Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. I read all 1,400 pages of War & Peace because of it. My favorite animals are red pandas and I desperately want a corgi, whom I will name Orpheus. I have a cat named Blackfoot who is very fat and adorable. I am writing my own fantasy series and a musical. Writing for Wicked and being apart of the community was so big in getting me further into musicals, which has made me who I am.

So thanks to all.

Anyone who still wants to hang with me, I guess, can find me on instagram a_letter_from_marya_dmitrievna !

I know it's long.

Sorry.

And with that I close the Grimmerie and step out to do something bigger.

I guess I don't like leaving things unfinished.

So this is my closure.

Thank you all so much for such an amazing, magical journey.

And now I step out into a new life.
