- I own nothing... But what can I say? I'm in a Saix/Xemnas mood. I promise that I'll FINALLY start to work on my other fics. Inspired by watching the scene where Saix dies in the game, and Will of the Heart from the Bleach OST.
Murder.
It's an ugly word, yet it was the only thing that Xemnas could think of to describe watching the battle between Sora and Saix commence, only able to pray to Gods which had long since forsaken him that the other... last Nobody would pull through, just as he always did. Come over and embrace him after the battle, not a scratch on that beautiful body of his.
He prayed to the Gods that he and Saix could share one last kiss... But the Gods turned deaf ears upon his pleas, they had no time for abominations... Jokes at living creatures who'd inflicted this fate upon themselves.
Every time Saix went Berzerk, everytime the moon flooded the elven Nobody with power, he could see Saix die a little... Physically, mentally... It didn't matter what, all he knew was that Saix was dying now... And he'd promised that he'd stay put and watch.
"Once Sora's out of the way, then I can truly love you, Xemnas..."
Saix followed so faithfully, so blindly... It was painful.
He tucked a strand of silver hair behind the cat-like man's ear, golden eyes gentle and filled with a faux emotion. "I'd die for you, Xemnas.."
"Saix, you fool..."
The Keyblade fell, Saix screamed.
But he smiled in Xemnas' direction, and Xemnas felt sick as he realized that Saix had wanted this all along.
"But I'm not good enough..."
He had started to limp towards that infernal moon, the thing he'd obsessed over and gained power over in order to please the Superior, done anything to get even a smile in his direction.
"Kingdom Hearts!"
"...I can't control it.."
"Where is..."
"And I'm not good enough for you without it..."
"...My heart?"
Golden eyes reflected the image of Saix's body Fading into the nothingness from whence it came... And he stood there for a few moments, gazing at the Kingdom Hearts from the safety of the shadows..
Eventually, though, as Sora and his little band of misfits took off for the next location, he strode out from his hiding place, bending down and grasping the remains of the cyan haired Nobody's cloak... Just standing there, basking in the light of a moon he no longer needed nor wanted.
"I took it and stomped all over it.." Was the whispered response to a question, answered too late in the game to save the player.
