Unlike most of my stories, this one is supposed to be serious. So, unlike most of my stories, this one doesn't contain surviving of any characters that Cameron killed. NOT EVEN ONE OF THEM.

Avatar doesn't belong to me. Would Grace die if it did?

Neytiri stood near the RDA base, near the Hell's Gate. The Sky People left it in hurry, when their only alternative was being eaten by an ikran.

Neytiri cried as she thought of ikrans. She couldn't help crying over her beloved Seze, killed by Quaritch and then avenged. She was just not complete after Seze died. For every Taronyu (hunter) ikran was as important as an eye or a leg, or even tail. Neytiri thought of every happy moment with Seze, she reminded the day Seze chose her, her first flight, when she was just as frightened as during the last flight, all the hunts, every time Seze answered her call…

Suddenly Neytiri heard a distant ikran's cry. It seemed very sad. Neytiri sighed. The Great Sorrow wasn't over, not until all the deceased are mourned, not until the Omaticaya find new home, not until every sign of Sky People is cleansed from Pandora's surface.

The ikran cried again. Neytiri thought that this ikran could have lost his Taronyu (hunter). Many Na'vi died, and many of them had ikrans. Even though it was reckless, Neytiri approached the ikran, following the sound of his cry. She walked carefully, watching her step, until she saw the ikran. It had bluish and purplish strips on its wings, it was big and – and familiar.

'Is that you?' Neytiri asked, approaching and coming too close. The ikran looked at her and attacked. Neytiri screamed in fear, blaming herself for recklessness, and tried to run away. The ikran definitely wanted to kill her for coming too close and disturbing its mourning! She ran, but the ikrans were faster than Na'vi. Neytiri found herself in trap, stuck between a bloodthirsty ikran and a RDA base wall. She tried to defend herself and then, as she spotted the ikran's queue, she thought of the Tsahaylu and ikrans' way of choosing their Taronyu (hunter). She grabbed ikran's queue and joined it to her own. She gasped heavily, feeling the ikran – Tsu'tey's ikran – with her whole mind. She stood up.

'It's really you' she smiled and hugged the ikran. Taronyu who lost her ikran and ikran who lost his Taronyu. Both were incomplete after the fight against RDA, and completed again.
