This is for 4h of July RandR!
Katara, gazed upon the night sky, and awaited the fireworks. Aang, and Toph, were sitting together smiling at each other. Sokka was off with Suki, and Katara was alone. Sokka was furious whenever any boy got near her.
Practice fireworks lit the sky, as younger kids were running around in the giant field. The grass felt great to Katara, and she smiled softly. "Now if only I had someone to enjoy it with… She wished, upon one star she saw that someone would save her this night, this fourth of July.
Young couples from her school were everywhere, some sitting on car roofs, some in chairs.
Suddenly, Katara heard a voice talking to her, it was a male voice. "Hey Katara…mind if I sit with you?" It was Haru. She looked up, her blue eyes shining with happiness.
"No not at all!" She said. He sat next to her and smiled.
"I didn't see you last year. Where were you?" He asked.
"Sokka got mad when a boy wanted to sit with me, and made me go home."
Suddenly, the fireworks started. The two sat close together. Katara's hand suddenly touched Haru's, and she blushed shyly.
Haru looked over at her. She's so beautiful, he thought, and looked back at the fireworks.
Katara sighed, she was happy to be next to the handsome and kind Haru. Slowly, their hands slipped together. When the finale came, it was magical. Katara was dazzeled. It was amazing being next to a guy for fourth of July. She loved every moment of it.
After the fireworks, Haru offered her a ride home, which she gladly accepted, on the way, his car broke down, near the park. And Haru, led her into it, and on to a huge hill, over looking where they did fireworks. The shooters, noticed the couple and started another show. Little, did Katara know, Jet was doing them.
As they started up, the two leaned closer together, and Katara stared into Haru's deep green eyes. She leaned forward, and their lips locked in a kiss. Finally, Katara pulled away, gasping for breath. And smiled.
The very next day, Haru asked her out. Katara thought, this is the best summer ever.
