Averting Disaster

LOS ANGELES, 1995

"Al, I just leaped into this guy, and I'm to do what?"

Al shrugged and looked at his handlink.

"Ziggy says, stop that man over there from buying an ice cream. He says a lot rides on you doing that."

Resigned, Sam walked over and interfered in every way he knew how. At last, the customer walked away enraged. Sam now recognized him.

"Al, that was George Lucas! Why would I have to prevent him from buying ice cream from this vendor?"

The vendor spoke up, in the oddest accent Sam had ever heard.

"Me-sa like to know that too!"
