A/N: Companion piece to Yellow, but could be read as a stand alone.
In addition to the yellow tape roping off the crime scene, there are orange cones around the various vehicles blcoking most of the road. A uniform is making sure the traffic is flowing smoothly around our cones.
I don't know why we must have such garish colors to mark off crime scenes. Well, I do, it's so people see it and know to stay away. Problem is, it seems to draw them closer, like bugs to a light.
And these colors... they're supposed to represent happiness, warmth.
They're not supposed to mark off such horrible aspects of life.
Damn orange cones.
