This one-shot is really just a exploration on the dynamics of Lexie and Meredith's (and Molly's) childhood together; I've actually written part of this down so I'm hoping this won't take a week to post, this series (along with my Hawaii Five 0 series) are not going to be as regularly updated as my other stories it's more of something different to focus upon.
Disclaimer: Shonda Rhimes owns these characters, I sadly do not.
"Lexie, are you looking through old photo albums?"
Meredith questioned as she entered her sister's room. The brunette looked up, a grin on her face as she looked at the various albums scattered on her bedspread.
"Yup, remember this summer?"
Lexie asked, pointing at a photo. Meredith sat beside her sister, a wide smile appearing on her face.
"How could I forget? You and Molly pushed me into the lake, it was freezing!"
Meredith accused, glaring playfully. Lexie rolled her eyes.
"You got us back by not telling us about the poison ivy in that bush."
Meredith just grinned at her sister before flipping to the next page. She smiled, seeing a younger version of herself holding a newborn Lexie in her arms.
"This was the day I got the best little sister in the world.
"And it's the day I gained the best big sister."
The two smiled at each other, hugging tightly. Lexie pulled back and flipped the page, a wide grin on her face while Meredith groaned.
"Remember this, it was my fifth birthday party and you-"
"-ended up showing you and a bunch of three year olds how to properly perform a heart transplant."
Meredith finished, shaking her head. Surprisingly enough, her father wasn't angry but proud of her for doing something so advanced, looking back she wondered if that was when Lexie became interested in medicine.
"I should probably start dinner."
Lexie suddenly said, getting off the bed and heading downstairs with her sister behind her. She raised her eyebrows upon seeing Christina and Alex with Izzie and George in the kitchen.
"Hello and what are you doing here?"
"We heard Lexipedia was a good cook and wanted to see for ourselves how good."
Lexie shook her head as she started chopping ingredients. Meredith's fellow interns, being aware of her photographic memory, had ended up quizzing her and were stunned to see she got a lot of the answers right.
Alex had taken to calling her Lexipedia along with Christina and though she was initially irritated by the nickname, she just chose to ignore it.
"Hey Lex, have you heard from Molly lately?"
Meredith asked as she took a bottle of beer out, looking at her sister.
"Yup, she's fine and doing well in school."
"What's she studying?"
Izzie asked, looking at the sisters expectantly.
"History, she's always loved it."
Meredith replied, grabbing a spice and handing to her sister who was holding her hand out. The other interns watched in interest as they worked together.
"Wow, it's like you don't even need to speak, you just know what Lexie needs."
George commented, watching as Meredith handed her sister another spice. Meredith looked at him with a smile.
"I did grow up with her and watched her cook this recipe many times, I've kind of got it programmed in my mind."
Lexie took the sauce and noodles off the stove, laughing when she saw Christina trying not to show how much she liked the food.
"Alright, dig in."
This was short and mostly just lighthearted moments, but I've had this on my computer for a while and really just wanted to finish it.
