Anyway, a story about Naruto and Sakura...

Naruto stopped suddenly and looked at his pink-haired friend

Naruto stopped suddenly and looked at his pink-haired friend.

"Is it…is it him?" he asked.

Sakura stopped as well; she wanted to say no but knew it would be only deceiving him. Naruto stared at his girlfriend's face and he knew; she had always liked him ,and, no matter what, would continue to always do so.

"I…I'm sorry…" she replied.

He simply nodded, dumbfounded that, after all he did for her, she still liked him. The blond boy simply stared at his surroundings; his eyes absorbed the lush grass, and the vivacious flowers and the pristine, shimmering water of the lake next to them. He had brought his girlfriend here as a surprise. This place was his favorite place, a clearing somewhere deep in the Forest of Death. He wanted to be happy with her; however, he realized that, once He had been brought back, everything would change.

"I'm really…really sorry…" she said again.

He simply nodded again, clenching and unclenching his fists repeatedly.

"But…why?" he asked, finally meeting her eyes.

She looked at him, but she could not find the words to reply. Neither of them spoke for quite awhile. Rain droplets began to fall. Drip.Drip.Drip. The droplets made splashes on the ground, and, along with the darkened sky, made the situation gloomier. Finally, Naruto looked at her and smiled—a bittersweet, small smile.

"At the least, I…I had you for a while…" he said.

She simply nodded. Finally, she asked:

"Can we…can we still be friends…?"

The bittersweet smile never left his face.

"Of course…" he whispered, "but…can I ask for one more thing?"

She nodded again.

"Can we kiss…one more time, as…as lovers?"

Before she agreed or disagreed, he pressed his mouth to hers. He kissed her with all of his emotions and attempted to drink in her essence so as to not ever forget the act of kissing her. Finally, he moved away from her; once again, he smiled because, although he hated him, if she was happy, then he would be as well.

"We can never be lovers again though; from now and ever, we will be friends," He said.

And with that said and a few more hand gestures, he had left, leaving smoke in the place he occupied. Sakura remained in the clearing, letting out tears. She contemplated returning to him but knew she could not; she had broken his heart and would never be able to mend it.
