Howdy ya'll. This is another installment of the "Holiday Sucks" collection. I do not own these characters.
It was Christmas time in Bayville. Most of the mansion residents were in high spirits in light of the holiday. Not all of the X-men were lighthearted in the frivolity of the season. Kitty who was sick of the lack of Jewish celebration and unable to home due to her parents being away had barricaded herself in her bedroom for the holiday. Jean and Scott were with her family so they get to know Scott before their up coming wedding. Kurt had gone home to Germany which left Rogue alone with Remy, Wanda, and Pietro. This would have been all well and good except for the fact that Rogue was left with Pietro and Wanda. Rogue was in the kitchen using the table to wrap gifts.
Wanda entered the room and glanced at Rogue's work. "Having fun?"
"Oh yeah. This is great. I am destroying the environment and promoting spending time with family at Christmas." She said mockingly.
"You know since you got married you've really sold out." Wanda said.
Rogue shot her sister the bird. The effect was slightly lessened by the fact that it took her a minute to loosen her fingers from the scotch tape she was using in her task. "I hate you by the way."
"I do try." Wanda laughed. "So what did you get me?"
"I am not telling you. I'll show you what I got for Pietro though." Rogue told the other girl. She pulled out a sweater from a large pile of gifts.
"Oh Rogue that is hideous. It's perfect." Wanda exclaimed. "Oh look at the card. To Pietro from your loving family…and Rogue. You have such a way with cards Rogue."
Rogue smiled. "Thanks. Did you here about Magneto's gift?"
Wanda shrugged. "I've heard rumors that it's pretty bad. Is it here?"
At that moment Tabitha entered the kitchen. "Hey ladies what are you talking about?"
"Magneto's gift." Rogue said and look then to Wanda. "It's not here I am having it shipped directly to him. I do have pictures though." She pulled out a few photographs.
Wanda looked at the picture and smiled. "I had hoped that you weren't joking about that."
Tabby looked at the photographs herself. "You got him a tombstone."
"Yup." Rogue said.
"It already has a death date on it." Tabby exclaimed.
"Yup." Rogue repeated.
Tabby voice became flat. "Wishful thinking?"
Rogue gave her a skeptical look. "Wouldn't you like to know?"
"You know Rogue you do know how to make a family come together in hatred of its patriarch." Wanda said. Even Pietro was less inclined to stick up for his father since the disaster at Rogue's wedding.
"Yeah and?" Rogue asked.
Wanda hugged her sister. "I am so proud."
"Yeah you really bring a new level of spite into the holiday. Well now I am off to mail a letter to my old man. It entails what I am going to do with my freedom and it talks about how he doesn't have his freedom because he's in prison and how I am never going to visit him. TTFN." Tabby left.
The other girls just stared after her. Wanda spoke first. "You know I don't think she realizes her potential."
Rogue shook her head. "That maybe true and after the holidays we may have to intervene, but first look at the gift I got for Logan."
Wanda grew excited. "Ooh what is it?"
Rogue grinned evilly.
Yes, she really did know how to put fun back into family holidays.
Thanks for reading. I can honestly say I have no idea what Rogue got Logan. I just wanted to pick on him a little. Haha.
