Characters: Mokuba Kaiba, Seto Kaiba
Warnings: Just some (mostly) platonic love
Disclaimer: I own not, no owning here.
Summary: Mokuba gets some help with schoolwork. A small slice of life fic.
----
Seto can't help himself, it's always "This isn't right" or "There's a better way" or "There's more to it than that".
And this results in many a night of coffee and tea with plenty of honey, and Mokuba tries desperately to follow along with Nisama's lecturing – not to nod off, or wonder why Nisama's handwriting is so different than his, or just stop paying attention to stare at Nisama's hands.
But it's ok, because Mokuba loves how intense his Nisama gets as he talks about imaginary numbers and the possibility of zero.
It's not intense like when he plays duel monsters or when he's fighting off corporate takeovers -- It's intense like when Nisama's configuring the schematics for the Duel Disk III, or when he's designing their newest RPG system.
And eventually the grandfather clock downstairs strikes twelve and Seto asks him one last time if he understands.
So Mokuba reaches for his cooling ceramic mug, takes a sip to suppress a yawn, and asks one last question about the practical uses of imaginary numbers.
And Seto gives him that smirk that's more than worth getting chewed out in class the next day for dozing off.
AN: I first posted this on my LiveJournal. This is not a very new story for me, but it's one I love and felt like uploading it :)
