The challenge? #EndTheSuspenseInFewerThan200Words

The result? This horribly oversimplified joke of a fanfiction story that will hopefully make you laugh a bit. Could it really be this simple?

Oliver walked into the DLO on Monday morning with a sense of purpose. Little did he know that Shane had come to a similar conclusion the evening prior.

"Oliver, I'm glad you're in early. I need to tell you something," Shane said with a sense of urgency.

"Very good, Ms. McInerney, I was actually hoping to speak to you as well. Please feel free to go first."

"I realized yesterday that I've been holding back, and I've decided just to be honest with you. I love you. I've loved you for quite some time." Shane glanced down for a second and then looked back at Oliver's semi-stunned face. "So. That's it. That's what I wanted to say."

Oliver recovered and responded, "It may surprise you Ms. McInerney, but I was wanting to speak with you about the same subject. I too am in love with you and have been for longer than I probably should have been. I believe we have a chemistry and connection that is deeper than anything I have ever known."

Shane and Oliver both smiled.

"Ok then," Shane said. "Glad to have that out in the open finally."

"Indeed," Oliver responded. "Dinner tonight?"

"Sure!"
