Her face…she was so happy she was crying. She looked shocked, happy, bewildered, yet…There was something else about her sweet face that puzzled me. What was it? What was I missing? She would love me not matter what, no matter what I am.

The curse…it's gone now, forever. No more hiding, no more cages, just…freedom. And it's all thanks to her. Her smile, her love, her kindness. All of it was unnecessary. Why did she smile so much for creatures like us? What did we do to deserve it? Nothing. She gave us her love, and asked for nothing in return. Like a mother.

But what was it? What else was she feeling? Her everlasting smile made me feel happy. Like a butterfly fluttering onto a newly bloomed flower in the middle of melting snow. Accepting the true me, without batting an eye.

Her love for us. Even though we were so mean to her. Never saying a mean word back, never scowling. Just a smile, and kind words. She accepted us even though we said awful things to her. We don't deserve to know someone like her. We don't deserve to speak to her. She saved us from being the pitiful souls we once were..

It was sadness. Just like how we are feeling. Happy, yet sad. The feeling of suddenly being disconnected to the one you've been with your whole life… Yet happy, to finally be free. To be able to open your arms to the world, without having to hide. She was sad, because we were sad. Because she knew that without our spirits, we're not who we once were. We're strangers to ourselves. There's this feeling of emptiness that will never go away. But it will be covered up with the feelings of love, of being loved.

Without her, we would still be the outcasts that we were. Anyone who thinks lowly of her should go to hell. Her undying love for those who are not accepted by others. Her energetic personality is awe-inspiring. Thank you for being the best friend that you are.

Thank you, Tohru Honda. For saving us. For finding us. For healing us. Without you, we would still be suffering. Worry, regret, never finding true happiness. It's all thanks to you. We are forever indebted to you. Thank you for making us feel comfortable to be who we really are. Thank you for accepting us. And we thank you… for truly loving us without a doubt.
