Where is this?

Simon knelled. "Betty… I need to ask you something." He smiled as a faint blush hit his cheeks. Betty gasped. "Will you spend the rest of your life with me?" he asked finally. "YES!" Betty screamed as Simon slipped a ring on her finger. Betty squealed as he got up to kiss her.

Marceline sat on the old bench in the middle of some woods not far from her cave. She smiled at the thought of her and Simon sharing some cold fries in that same bench when she was a kid. The image of a small vampire girl and a tall human man with blue skin and beard stubble appeared in her mind. She wasn't surprised this image popped up in her head, it always did when she came to this spot; she was used to it.

Her smile started to fade when the image of Simon's screaming came to mind. She simply wanted to forget about all that, but how could she? It was about a decade ago and her heart wouldn't let it go! She already had closure, what else did she want? Simon, that's what she wanted. She wanted her Simon back. She wanted the man who took care of her during war, the man who got her favorite food every Friday… French fries; cold French fries, just the way she liked them!

"Dadam, dadadadadum…" she heard a familiar voice hum a familiar song (I Remember You). "Marceline, what are you doing here?" Ice King smiled walking towards her. "I could ask the same thing…" she replied suspiciously. "I thought I was the only one who knew about this spot!" Ice King's smile wouldn't burn out. "Yeah… me too." She muttered.

"What are you doing here, anyway?" Marceline asked. "I don't know, I just like coming here, its so lonely… it's a good kind of lonely. It reminds me of French fries for some reason…" he smiled sitting on the bench with her as he looked around. Marceline started tearing up. "D-does it really?" she asked in a childish tone. "Yeah…! I like eating them cold, isn't that weird? I've always liked cold fries, sometimes I think I'm the only person in Ooo who likes their fries cold!" he began waving his arms. "Simon you are in there." She sighed relieved.

"Marceline… why do you call me Simon?" Ice King asked after a while of silence. Marceline considered whether to answer the man's infantile question a bit. "You won't let yourself remember, but I understand now, so just forget about it… you're pretty good at that." Marceline said bluntly looking down to her shoes. "I want to remember…" he said looking down at her. "I know you think you do, but I know Simon is still inside you. I just wanna see him again." She began crying. Ice King stared for a couple of seconds then wrapped his arms around her. "I don't know why, but I wanted to give you these…" He smiled pulling away and showing her a small tray of French fries. "Just the way I like them…" she smiled. Ice King dried a tear from her face with one finger while she took one. "Thanks…" she smiled. This made her completely sure Simon was still there
