There's something about him that reminds me of Riley. He'd probably rip my throat out for saying so, but it's true. Mainly, the way he always wants to protect me. That was practically Riley's trademark.
But on Spike, it's different. Spike's not hovering and overbearing; he's loud and obnoxious and abrasive, but loves me just the same.
So I'm inclined to overlook certain things; things like the Buffybot and the shrine. Because at the end of the day, he's still Spike; irrepressibly charming and loyal to a fault.
How twisted is it that I'm falling in love with my stalker?
