The Sad Reunion
As I entered Heaven, I saw someone I haven't seen for a while.
I went up to her and said "Hello" with a smile.
Would you know my name
if I saw you in Heaven?
Would it be the same
if I saw you in Heaven?
"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" is what she said.
After that, my heart was crushed.
I must be strong,
and carry on.
Because I know I don't belong
here in Heaven.
"You don't know my name?" I ask her. But she was silent.
"I'm sure I've never met you before." She said quietly.
Would you hold my hand
if I saw you in Heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in Heaven?
"Sorry. I must have the wrong person." I said. It was a lie.
"Oh that's okay." she said, with her brown eyes shining.
I'll find my way
through night and day.
Because I know I just can't stay
here in Heaven.
So I walk away, to the edge of the clouds, thinking
'What could make Chihiro forget me after the things we've been through?'
Time could bring you down,
time can bend you knees.
Time can break your heart,
have you begging please.
Begging please.
"Maybe because I didn't fulfill my promise in time." I told myself.
"Or maybe because she died."
Beyond the door,
lies peace I'm sure.
And I know they'll be no more
tears in Heaven.
"Should I move on?"
"Or should I keep on trying?"
Would you know my name
if I saw you in Heaven?
Would it be the same
if I saw you in Heaven?
I felt something go down my cheek.
'Tears? Am I crying?'
I must be strong
and carry on.
Because I know I don't belong
here in Heaven.
Then I felt the presence of someone nearby. "Haku, I remember who you are." It was Chihiro. She ran up to me and hugged me. "I love you." I said. "I love you too." she replied.
I thought to myself, 'How can she love me? A sweet angel shouldn't fall in love with someone as bad as me.'
Because I know I don't belong
here in Heaven.
