"Ca-Captain Kuchiki!" stuttered out the slender fourth division member. The calculating captain stared down at him, eyes unflinching, unemotional. "The sixth division has just been raided. It would be appreciated if you were to head down with a squad and clean up." He turned away, heading toward the eleventh division to unleash his wrath upon Captain Zaraki.

It would not be until later, that it would occur to Hanataro that Byakuya had done the damage, and that it was clearly not the eleventh division.

"Are you done yet, Hanataro?" he asked coolly. He jumped and spun around; spilling the papers he had been sorting. "N-no, not yet, Sir!" he dropped to his knees; suddenly vary aware of the captains increase in reiatsu. He spotted pale hands and the edges of a shihakusho amongst the papers he was desperately trying to gather.

Kuchiki Byakuya had gotten on his hands and knees to help him. Either Byakuya had hit the bottle this morning or Hanataro should start. He shuffled the papers even faster. "P-Please don't Captain! I can ha-handle it! It's okay!" The captain did not stop but continued to neatly gather the bits of paper. A sakura blossom fell between the many bits of thin sheets and both stopped.

This was when it occurred to Hanataro that it was Captain Kuchiki had destroyed his own division. But he said nothing, thinking it was wiser to keep his mouth shut, then let his awkward, tangle thoughts spew out.

Byakuya made no move to disguise the petal, no move to hide his intentions. He stood up and lowered the papers on to the desk before reaching down and taking the stack Hanataro had sorted. The slender boy stood and back toward the door, stuttering out apologies and trying to hurry off.

Byakuya very calmly reached over and locked the door. "No, you must finish off in here first." His voice was controlled, which surprised him. Hanataro's eyes widened and he began to plead and apologise before running around desperately trying to clean up. The boy was cute, Byakuya had to admit that little guilty thought.

"Hanataro." He spoke calmly. "Calm down. You are creating more of a mess then you are cleaning." He very slowly took a seat at his desk and began to fill out paperwork, taking his time. His leisurely pace seemingly calmed him down for a moment.

Hanataro slipped and fell into the door. He got up and knelt by the faltering boy. He was at a loss for words. Byakuya took his face in his hands and leant down. Hanataro started to flail violently. "Hanataro." He told him softly and leant in, brushing his lips against his softly, sweetly. It was a rather delicate act. Hanararo, who had been in a state of shock, stopped. "I like you." Byakuya spoke rigidly and Hanataro smiled. He wrapped his arms around Byakuya, finally, his nerves calming down. "I t-think I like you too..." he swallowed nervously and their lips met again.
