Just Want To Be With You
Tom Hanson flopped heavily down on the sofa in his front room, he was physically and emotionally spent, and only now did he allow his emotions to catch up on him, for this was the first time h had been alone.
Monday night
I feel so alone
I count the hours
They go so slow
I know the sound of your voice
Is in my soul
Hanson, rubbed his hands over his stubbled face, it was all his fault, it was something that he knew he would carry with him for the rest of his life. He got to his feet unable to settle and walked over to his window.
City light
The streets of gold
I wrap my window
To the World below
Moves so fast
Feel so cold
I'm all alone
He leant forward and rested his head against the cool glass of the window, how had it all gone so wrong? Her beautiful face and her radiant smile, gone forever. He bit back on the sob that threatened to escape, he couldn't believe that she had left him. He couldn't believe that she had been snatched away from him.

He was so tired, yet rest eluded him. His mind constantly haunted by images of his lost love, all he longed for was to be enveloped in her embrace, yet he knew it was a hopeless dream.

through these tears
I try to smile
I know the touch of you hand
Could save my life.
He had spent the time ever since her passing trying to convince the World that he was strong, he could handle it. Yet deep down he couldn't it was all a façade, he was sure tat Doug could plainly see through it, hell everyone could. His show of strength didn't fool anybody, neither did the anger that clearly shone through.

All he wanted was to turn back the clock, to somehow have her stood before him, alive with eyes full of fire. To take her in his arms and just hold her- just for her to be there that was all he needed.

He picked up the bottle of Jack that laid on the shelf and calmly raised it to his lips, intent on drinking himself into a stupor, an act he had used before to forget his troubles, yet he knew that even that wouldn't help, nothing could take away the deep emptiness pitted in his heart and soul, nothing except for one person, and she wouldn't be with him ever again.
