It was a normal day for me. well as normal as it could be for a son of Hades. I was in my cabin at camp half-blood playing with the shadows and awaiting news on my best friend and cousin Percy as he was currently on a quest.
maybe its time for introductions. my name is Nico Di'Angelo and i am the son of Hades. yes the one and only god of the underworld, i am also the ghost king. my father gave me that title when there was too much paperwork. Typical.
i was just minding my own buisness when i was sucked into the shadows and i showed up at the underworld itself right in front of my father who actually smiled at me, it wasnt a cruel smile either he actually did like me.
"hello son" he said to me and i bowed for a few seconds then adressed him.
"hello father, what is it i may help you with?"
"i need you to go on a quest, someone in england is cheating death, they have split there sole into several pieces so it is impossible for them to die, i need you to destroy those pieces and then destroy him. now there is a prophecy that a boy is the only one with the power to vanquish the dark lord which is what the man is known as to his followers but he is voldemort. the prophecy is similar to Percy's but it is tiny in comparrison and we have the power to overthrow it. so you can change the prophecy as the oracle didnt forsee it, it was just someone who sometimes has power over the inner eye, so nothing powerful. now the school which you will be attending is hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry and hecate has blessed you with magic so you will be able to fit in the only difference is you can do wandless and voiceless magic, which will set you apart as not even all of the most powerful witches and wizards may do that. Chiron is going to inform one of his kind in the forest near the school to tell the headmaster of your arrival and when Percy returns from his quest he will join you. you will be going later today do you understand?" i processed what he was saying and nodded my head
"i understand. do i tell them what i am?" i asked
"the headmaster knows of our world and he will know who you are and he also knows who Percy is and that he was offered possision as a god and although he refused he still holds as much power as one so you will be safer with him there.
not that you need protecting but it will be better to have someone there rather than be alone. and for now dont tell anyone, youll know when the time is right and make sure percy is with you. good luck son" he said and i nodded and shadow-travelled back to camp where i met Chiron and he told me he had informed the school.
this is going to be a long year!
