"Dearest…" Numair's voice held that unique tone of awe and disbelief typically reserved for once-in-a-lifetime sights and those moments when their son played in his workroom.

"What's Ash done now?" she murmured, too content within his warm embrace to peek at what new disaster had been wrought by her young son.

With her face tucked against his neck she felt him struggle to find words. She sighed and pulled herself from his arms. It wasn't difficult to see what had her husband speechless. Eyeing the spectacle herself, she found her mouth agape.

There, on the large, frozen circle the younger Court mages set up every Midwinter for their general amusement twirled a host of children. She spotted Sarralyn's bright blonde mass of curls almost immediately. The twelve-year-old glided with ease in a long loop around the edge of the ring, one pale hand extended behind her to tug at her ever-present shadow. As dark as Sarra was fair, her little Rikash was short and far less graceful than his older sister, his thick black hair just as curled yet made unmanageable by it's short cut.

Eyes wide and mouth agape she came to focus on the small form trailing haphazardly after her children.

"Daine…"

"I know, Numair."

With her scales a softly glowing red and her slitted eyes narrowed in concentration, the dragonet Kitten was clearly not about to be left out of the fun. Precariously balanced on each claw, the young Immortal was not theoretically skating; rather she was carefully nudging herself along the ice with careful flicks of her tail against the ice. Each flick of her tail sent her half-spinning in Rikash's shadow.

"I didn't think dragons could do that."

Daine smiled and shot he husband a proud look. "Kit's special."
