Notes:
Itachi did not kill his clan. Somebody else did it. Sasuke's still cold but a bit friendlier (same with Itachi). He lives with his brother, and they got along well. They still want revenge for their clan.
chapter 1: Happy happy birthday?
"SAKURA!" a tall blonde girl called out.
"Hey Ino-chan!" the girl with pink hair said turning to see her friend.
"Sakura-chan Happy birthday!" Ino said hugging her. She gave her a small box wrapped elegantly.
"Thanks Ino! Why don't you come by our house first?", she asked, "My dad's cooking a special dinner with cake and everything!"
"Sorry I can't Sakura... I have a mission today and I just dropped by to greet you.." she said sasly.
"That's okay... Just be careful okay?" Sakura said.
"Sure!" With that, she hugged her friend/rival and went her way to the head quarters to start her mission.
Ino, Sakura and the others who didn't pass the first Chunnin exam are now Chunnins. The others are now Jounins and some are teaching in the academy.
sigh. Too bad Ino can't come... very well... she thought
Today was Sakura's 16th birthday. She doesn't want a party, she just wants to be with her father. Her mother died when she was just a baby. So all Sakura have is her father.
"Sakura! Why are you standing there! Come here! It's time to eat!", her father called out.
"Yes dad!", she entered the house and went straight to the dining room. She saw all different kinds of food set on the table.
"Wow...", she said hungrily feeling a bit like Naruto. She knows how good his father can cook so she sat down and started eating hungrily. She paused when she saw her father was just staring at her eating nothing.
"Hey dad... What's up?" she said looking at him "Why are you not eating?"
"Sakura... there's something gotta tell you... Its-.." He said when a knock on the door interrupted him.
"I'll go get it!" Sakura said. She was so nervous on what her father is going to say to her. Then she opened the door and saw 2 of the most unexpected people to come...
