In a flash of inspiration, I wrote this poem. It's the first of the collection I am planning to start, and I would really appreciate some criticism. No spamming, though, and if you do not appreciate it, just say that, no need to get colourful. Thank you for reading!

The Light at the End of the Tunnel

Drowning, in a dark abyss,
Water rushes over you.
Crying, in the black of night,
There's no light at the end of the tunnel.

Screaming, in useless hope,
That someone may still find you,
Hoping, deep in your heart,
There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Watching, but seeing naught,
Light is now a blessing,
Crawling, to stand on your feet,
There's a light at the end up the tunnel.

Walking, for the first time,
Stand in front of the tunnel,
Flooding, the light reaches you,
The light at the end of the tunnel.

Running, you race for it,
You see it getting nearer.
Shocking, as you realise it,
There's no light at the end of the tunnel.

Nearing, it's ahead of you,
Its noise is getting louder,
Roaring, the train reaches you,
The light at the end of the tunnel.
