We Three Crawleys
"Carson, what do you think of that Branson fellow I am considering to hire as the chauffeur? I thought we would be able to have him driving before my new heir comes to live at the Crawley house."
"A very good choice, my Lord. I will tell Mr. Branson he has been accepted into the Downton staff."
"Thank you, Carson. Oh and Carson, please find a good publishing house to submit my father's manuscript on the Earlship."
"Very good, my Lord."
"Mrs. Hughes, please fetch Mr. Branson."
"Very good, Mr. Carson."
"Mrs. Patmore, what is on the menu this evening?"
"Kidney souffle and an apple cake."
"Very nice Mrs. Patmore."
"He is in your office, Mr. Carson."
"Thank you, Mrs. Hughes."
"Mr. Branson, his Lordship has considered your position very thouroghly and he has accepted you as the chauffeur."
"Thank you very much, Mr. Carson."
"You will be driving into town tomorrow to pick up his Lordship's heir, Mr. Matthew Crawley, and his mother Isobel."
"Very good Mr. Carson. Will they be bringing any luggage?"
"Why of course they're bring luggage! They will be living at the Crawley house. Now come meet the staff. You already know myself and Mrs. Hughes. This is Thomas our first footman."
"This is Daisy our kitchen maid and our cook Mrs.-"
"Aunt Beryl?"
"Tom Branson, as I live and breathe! How are you?"
"Fine, just fine."
"Wait, you two know each other?"
"He is my nephew."
"I did not know you were Irish, Mrs. Patmore."
"I'm not. My sister married an Irishman. They moved to Ireland when Tom here was sixteen."
"Ah, That explains it. Moving on. That is Anna the head housmaid. Next to her is Gwen, our other housemaid. Over there are the lady's maid and valet, O'brien and Bates."
"Mr. Carson. His Lordship wants to have a word with you."
"Thank you, William. Branson, Mrs. Hughes will show you to your room."
"Very good Mr. Carson."
"Ah, Carson do you have the list of publishers I asked you for?"
"Yes, my Lord. The top five in the country, but may I suggest Michael Gregson. He is fairly new at the business, but my father worked with all of them and he recommends Mr. Gregson very highly."
"Thank you, Carson, Please tell Branson he will be picking up three people instead of two."
"Very good, my Lord."
"Who's Branson."
"Sybil, Branson is our new chauffeur."
"Why do you need a publisher, Papa?"
"It is for Grandpapa's manuscript about the Earlship, Edith. Yes, Mary, your Grandpapa actually wrote something."
"I didn't say anything Papa."
"Oh I thought you said something."
