short thing based on the first part of My Chemical Romance's Welcome to the Black Parade, i might continue with the rest of the song, but that depends on how the feedback is, now, READ! -

James Potter winced slightly as a trainer-clad shoe hit his clavicle. He raised a hand to still the bouncing leg and laughed.

"Be careful, Pup" he told his son. "You almost hurt Dada."

"No hurt, Dada" the boy laughed in reply.

Small hands grabbed a handful of magically altered, blond hair. James just smiled and continued to walk with the crowd.

"Moosic, Dada, moosic" Harry shrieked.

"Yeah, Harry, it's a marching band" James replied.

The two stood amongst hundreds of muggles, just watching the colorfully dressed musicians march down the towns street. Nothing about them seemed odd. Nothing about them addressed the fact that they were wizards.

After almost an hour, the parade was over and James followed the crowd away from the street.

The crowd soon thinned and James was walking down the street with only his year old son for company.

After walking down a few streets, they came across a deserted park. James jumped over the low wall and found a bench by a small, blue pond.

He lifted Harry off of his shoulders and sat him on the bench. He sat next to his son and ruffled his light red hair. Question filled, hazel eyes looked up at him. Harry wasn't used to seeing his father in his glamour.

James had traded their normal black hair for lighter tones and switched their eye color. It was a precaution he and Lily always took when leaving the house.

"Harry, when you are older, you may be the saviour of the broken, protector of the beaten and damned" he started.

Harry watched him with wide eyes, his small hands clasped over his mouth at the bad word. James sighed, the boy was so young. He had no idea why he was telling Harry these things, but felt he had to.

"You may have to defeat him and any demons and non-believers he will force on you. You will have to break through any barriers and plans the stop you."

Harry had grown silent, aware that his normally fun-loving father was being serious.

"I wish I can always be here for you, Pup, but your mother and I are prepared for the worst. Know this, Harry, even if something happens to us, we will always be there for you. We will always be able to guide you."

Harry stood with slightly wobbly legs on the bench.

"No sad, Dada" he said, lifting his hands to his fathers face and forced his mouth into a lopsided smile. "Hawwy happy" he added with a large smile of his own.

"Aww, c'mere Pup" James laughed at his sons attempt to cheer him up. He pulled the boy from his feet and enclosed him in a tight hug. "I love you, Harry, above all, never forget that" he whispered into his hair, wishing it was its normal color.

"Love Dada to" Harry replied softly before something caught his eyes. "Ducks, Dada, ducks" he laughed, pointing at the offending birds.

"Go play with the duck, Pup" James laughed, putting his son on the grass.

Harry ran towards the ducks at top speed and cracked up as they tried to wobble away from him.

James continued to sit on the bench. He hoped with his entire being that Dumbledore was wrong and he would get to see his son grow up.

So, was it any good? I personally dont think I did the song justice, but still, should i continued with it? or not? tell me, please:) and i know it is slightly OOC for James, but i think he can be serious when need be, dont you?
