Rogue from the cartoon series, X-Men, and Roll from the anime series, MegaMan NT Warrior, are two characters that if you look at them closely, they're so much alike.
Besides the fact they share the same voice actress in English, Lenore Zann, the both of them are not human; Rogue is a mutant while Roll is a NetNavi. They're both deep, tragic characters, and they start off as protagonists, but they turned into antagonists, and then they turned back into protagonists. They're good-humored, but they have their feelings of sadness, that is. They wear bodysuits as their main outfit of the series and have green eyes. They have marks to show who they are; Rogue has the red X insignia from the shoulder of her coat and Roll has the heart insignia from her chest.
They also have their differences such as Rogue is around an age of a young adult while Roll is around the age of a kid. Rogue uses power absorption, superhuman strength, and flight in battle, but Roll uses Roll Flash, Roll Blast, Roll Arrow, and other techniques depending on the Battle Chip Maylu inserted in her PET. The former is orphaned after her father disowned her for being a mutant, but the latter is living with the Sakurai family, despite her NetOp's parents are not being shown.
For most of the time, I find Rogue and Roll are pretty much alike. It makes me wonder if Roll's creator, Ken'ichi Araki, gets an inspiration of her from Rogue, whose creator is Stan Lee. Ironic that their names rhyme, maybe? Who knows, it's a possibility. Rogue's relationships with Mystique, Gambit, and Cody Robbins could be compared to Roll's relationships with Maylu Sakurai, MegaMan, and GutsMan. Just so you know, I'm not really interested in MegaMan NT Warrior; I only watch it because there's the voice actress who voiced Rogue from the 1992 X-Men animated series.
