'Big mistake Doctor, you should've kept Rose, and gave me the Clone'
Now who am I to ignore a line like that! I wrote this for my friend Kay!

Another Option:

Kay opened her front door to find Rose Tyler and good looking identical twins stood there. One of them was wearing a brown pin strip suit, and the other a blue suit. 'Rose' She said, realising she sounded as shocked as she felt 'What can I do for you?'

'Kay, I need to ask you a huge favour' Rose replied. 'This the Doctor' Rose gestured to the twin in the brown suit. 'And this is the Doctor's double' She gestured to the other twin. 'He was created through the Doctor's hand. D'you remember I told you it was cut off?'

Not twins, then Kay realised. 'Yeah' She nodded. She remembered that story well, just like she remember all of Rose's stories of the Doctor. 'Look come in, it's freezing out here' Kay lead the three of them into the front room, while walking through she whispered to Rose 'I can see why you fell for him. He's hot…they both are'

'I asked Rose to stay with the double' The Doctor took over explaining. 'But she didn't want to. She want to come with me' As he explained the Doctor remember how Rose persuading him, and explained it all to Kay.

(Flashback)

'No' Rose was insistent. 'Doctor, you can't just leave me with him'

'Rose he needs you' The Doctor replied, silently wishing she wouldn't make this any harder than it already was/

'Yeah, but I have another option' Rose said, and everyone stared at her. 'I've got this friend Kay. She's the most understanding, and caring person ever. You say he needs me, but Kay'll be just as good as me, if not better. Or if you won't take him to her, leave him with mum'

'I'm not staying with Jackie' The Clone exclaimed.

At the same time, and in the same tone Jackie said 'You ain't dumping him on me'

Rose half-laughed at their reactions, then turned back to the Doctor and pleadingly said 'Please, Doctor, please don't make me stay with him'

'I just want you to be happy Rose' The Doctor said.

'I'd be happy with you' Rose replied 'Not with some clone'

The Doctor was reluctant, but the desperate look on Rose's face made up his mind for him. 'We'll have to get him there by land. The TARDIS can't travel in this universe' He said as way of an answer.

It took Rose a moment to catch on to what the Doctor was saying, but when she did a huge smile grew on her face, making the Doctor wonder how he ever even thought about leaving her when he'd only just found her again/ Rose threw her arms around the Doctor. 'Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you'

The Doctor returned the hug, happy that she was happy. 'So this Kay, where does she live' He asked Rose.

Rose told him.

(end of flashback)

'So what d'you say?' Rose asked.

'Can I ask; why he needs a babysitter?' Kay asked.

'Yeah, I could ask the same thing' The double agreed.

'It's not a "baby-sitter" as such' the Doctor replied. 'Just someone to watch him, and take care of him. To help him get used to being stuck on Earth, living a human life' The Doctor turned to his double. 'Does that make sense?'

'Yeah' The double replied. He looked at Kay hopefully. 'What d'you say?'

'Of course I will. I'm not going to turn him onto the streets' Kay answered.

'Thank you' both Rose and the double said with the same relief and excitement.

Kay smiled at them, and after a long catch up, Rose and the Doctor left.

Kay turned to the duplicate. 'Make yourself at home' She asked. 'Oh and what should I call you. I don't think "duplicate" is much of a name'

He smiled. 'You choose me name'

Kay thought for a moment. 'How about Robert?'

He smiled. 'Robert it is' He agreed.

'Glad you like it' Kay smiled 'Welcome home, Robert'
