Dominique always wondered why all her cousins loved the Burrow so much. In all honesty, she herself had never liked the place. It was nothing like her quiet, pastel dorm at Beauxbatons, which despite being home to quite a few students, always had an air of calm, or even like her large spacious home in France.

She felt the Burrow was always cramped and full of noisy people, which was true, given that she usually only visited it during the holidays. To Dominique, who prefered being by herself in silence, this was extremely unpleasant.

There was another reason that she could never quite call the Burrow her home, unlike most of her family. When she was younger, it was something she hadn't really cared about, but as she grew up, she noticed that her grandmother did not really seem to like her mother very much. It was hardly an obvious deduction to make, but she had noticed the little jibes and quick scornful glances over the years, and it cut her to the quick. She had never liked Grandma Molly's mollycoddling of the entire family, but when she realised it was what caused her dislike towards Fleur, she began to nearly hate it, and yet, never said anything about it to anyone. Not even her mother.

Until the day that she would never be able to get out of her mind arrived. There was screaming and crying and cursing and everything in between. She had never expected her father to finally snap under the pressure either. But that night, he did. and much to her surprise, picked the side that he had not expected of him. The night was full of incidents she would love to forget, but in the end she knew what really mattered was what she had discovered: she would never be welcome at the Burrow anymore.

Notes: Apologies if this felt a bit forced or weird. I'm not sure what I wanted to do with the prompt since I was in a bit of a hurry.
