A/N written for one of my best friends she is a Frostiron shipper and she asked for something fluffy. Well Darling, hope it's to your liking.
Also 'Lok' is pronounced 'loke' (if that makes sense...)
I own nothing btw
Soft Teddy
"Hey Lok…watcha doin'?" Tony asked as he slipped his arms around his lovers waist. Loki – or 'Lok' for short – was currently standing in one of Tony's spare rooms, in the doorway of the walk in wardrobe, staring at the object in his hands.
"Tony…" Loki's voice was an adorable tone of confusion and hesitation. It was a rare tone but Tony knew that he had to be patient and not condescending. Loki hated nothing more than being patronized. "What is this small…fluffy…animal?"
Tony released the god and moved so that he could see what Loki was holding. He smiled fondly at the object in Loki's hands. "King Teddy. He was my teddy bear and best friend growing up. A gift from my father." Tony took the bear from Loki's hands, "Wow I forgot that he was still in here." He laughed fondly, remembering the day his father had given him the bear. It wasn't high tech, nor was it special in anyway. It was just a simple, plain light brown bear with glass eyes and a checked bowtie. The tabloids had made jokes about the bear being too plain for the famous family, but to eight year old Tony…King Teddy was perfect. Tony looked up to see the expression on Loki's face. His face showed fond confusion.
"Interesting…" Loki drew out. "We do not have these King Teddy's in Asgard."
Tony laughed again, "Oh they aren't called 'King Teddy's' their called Teddy Bears."
"Oh…regardless we did not have these there." Loki said with a shrug. He turn to walk away, pausing only when tony gabbed his hand to plant a kiss on the heroes lips.
King Teddy remained in the spare room where he once again slipped to the back of Tony's mind. However Loki couldn't help but feel drawn to the small fluffy toy. Over the following weeks he felt his eyes drift to the spot on the bed that had been sporting the toy. Many times he felt tempted to go into the room and pick up the small toy and more than once he gave into the temptation.
Tony noticed of course, after all he did have the world's greatest surveillance system. The genius couldn't help but notice the small smile that tugged at the corners of the tricksters lips every time he held the bear. This smile was different from the cocky smirk that drove Tony up the wall, it was different from the self-assured smile that Loki flashed his enemies before his back up arrived, and it was definitely different from the cold heartless smile he flashed before delivering the final blow.
No this smile was nothing like Loki's other smiles. This smile was full of warmth, a warmth that spread from Loki's lips and straight to Tony's arc reactor.
Tony came to the conclusion that he loved that smile and decided to make sure that he would see it more often.
Three weeks after discovering the teddy bear Loki walked into the bedroom he shared with his love and found a small present, wrapped in green and gold paper on his side of the bed.
Picking up the card that ley beside the gift he read:
To my Darling,
Every King needs his Knight.
Love, your King.
Loki smirked as he unwrapped the gift. The smirk softened into a warm smile at the sight. A teddy bear, with soft, fluffy, snow white fur with a light green scarf and glass eyes.
"There's that beautiful smile my Knight." Tony's voice came through from where he was leaning against the doorframe.
Loki closed the distance between them to press his lips against Tony's. He pulled back, "Just to be clear, I'm the king here."
