Jaws: The Revenge
Guardian of the Sea
A/N: What if the initial events of the fourth film never took place? What if Sean had been saved by a stranger that lived to help people?
It happened so fast that Sean Brody had no time to react. A Great White Shark had just appeared from out of the water. It nearly bit his left arm off…were it not for the timely intervention of a stranger that had offered his assistance. He was quickly pulled back, avoiding the mutilation of his limb.
"Aah!" He gasped.
"You okay?" The dark-skinned man asked him.
"I'm okay," Sean answered, and quickly went to the wheel of the boat, turning it back to the docks. "We need to warn the people."
"That was a Great White," the dark man sighed. "But I thought they were all dealt with years ago… Didn't your father kill two of them?"
"Yeah, he did. My brother killed one, too."
"But I read that it was over at a marine park. This is Amity Island, a summer tourist attraction."

Even though it was only the word of two people, the Amity authorities were on the lookout for the shark. It was the first time in many years that they had to deal with a Great White that just seemed to have it in for the residents and tourists. Even Michael Brody was informed of the situation and had to be on the lookout for the shark, even though his family lived in the Bahamas where the water wasn't proper for a creature that thrived in cold waters. This was something that Ellen Brody suspected that the Great White that nearly killed Sean was out to get her family because of the previous sharks that her husband and eldest son killed years ago.
If only she knew that someone was looking out for her boys and everyone else near the water.
"…Until I catch that shark, I'm not going anywhere," the guy that saved Sean's life reminded himself as he looked at the local papers about the shark activity. "My other priorities will be suspended until this matter is resolved. The Gyaos and Legion, Charles Xavier's son, and the Blood Orchids will have to wait."
As he walked towards the docks in front of the water, he waited for the shark to show up. He knew what it looked like, as it stood out from other Great Whites; it was the only Great White that looked like some sort of zombie or had been in multiple fights to sustain various, healed injuries over time.
Sharks and whales, he thought, sitting on the docks. One species invokes fear while the other invokes awe and wonder. Except for the Whale Shark and Moby Dick.
His eyes never faltered as they pierced the quiet, blue waters where the shark reigned. The sooner this shark showed up, the better off everyone would be.
