"I love you Zuri"
It was a normal Friday at camp Kikiwaka; everyone was going about their business as lunch had just concluded. Zuri and Tiffany were briskly walking back to the Woodchuck cabin as they heard a boyish voice coming toward them. "Zuri!" it shouted, as it got closer, to the girls surprise, the voice happened to be coming from none other than Griff Jones, Zuri's crush at the moment. She felt a rough hand grab her wrist and pull her backward, which she was not expecting so she fell on the ground, landing on her butt abruptly. "Sorry Zuri, let me help you up" Griff said as he offered a kind hand towards her. She grabbed his hand and was pulled up off of the ground particularly hard. She was not expecting him to be so strong, looking at his relatively small frame. But then she remembered that he did lots of time in Juvenile detention so that was probably how he became so strong while staying small. When she got up she looked up at Griff, getting a quick glance at his coffee-colored eyes which sparkled in the sunlight which gave her butterflies. "What's up Griff?" Zuri asked with a kind smile. "Nothing much" Griff said "I'm about to go out to the lake, you wanna go?" he asked with a smile. She pounced on the idea, "Sure, is it ok if Tiffany tags along, she's been spending all of her free time boarded up in the cabin reading for the past week" "Yeah totally" he added. Tiffany all of a sudden chimed in with a rather sarcastic "I'd love to be out on the toxic lake with you two, but I have much more important things to do. So I'll take a pass on this one" "ok" Griff and Zuri said simultaneously as they ran off to the lake together. As soon as they got to the lake Zuri noticed something strange, there were no boats, no counselors, and no kids within eyeshot. "Where are all the kids and boats" she asked with a worried voice. "Zuri, the dock is closed for the next four hours" he said snickering under his breath " the real reason I brought you here was to get some alone time with you, because I like you Zuri, a lot" her breath hitched, a she wasn't prepared to feel the shock that she was feeling. "I like you too Griff" she said with a smirk "So does that mean you'll be my girlfriend" he asked with a very Griff-esk smirk across his face. She slightly turned her head so that he wouldn't see her smiling from ear-to-ear "I guess it does" she said with a kind smile as she slowly turned back to face her new boyfriend. As soon a she turned, she felt two rough hands grab her face and lips crash onto her own which erupted a small squeak from Zuri. But within a few seconds, she gave in to Griff and kissed back, finally Griff pulled away after what felt like an eternity.
