Today seemed like it would never end for the different colored Toads. The blue Toad and Yellow Toad who accompanied Mario and Luigi during their quest to save Princess Peach from Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings were heralded as heroes by some Toads, but they felt like they could have more chances.
"Oh why don't Toadsworth recognize us as heroes?" Blue Toad remarked in a depressed tone.
"Aww gee, don't think of it like that." Yellow Toad stated as he watched Captain Toad trying to jump in the distance, but failing. "I mean, we can jump like the Mario Bros!"
Despite Yellow Toad's best claims, Blue Toad still felt a bit gloomy, with Toadette farting by them as the two Toads glanced at each other, wondering why the only girl of the Toads was so gassy.
"Surely that would have been a clue." Toadsworth interrupted, with the Toads all gathered around in the entrance garden leading to Peach's Castle. "You two are too generic!"
"Wrong! We're unique enough to stand alongside Mario and Luigi!" Yellow Toad exclaimed as he placed his hands on his hips.
"Oh really?" Toadsworth scoffed as he spotted Dry Bowser mowing the grass, calling out to him. "Hey, Mr. Bowser Bones! Do you recognize these two?"
Realizing that he was being asked, the skeletal reptile turned his attention to the Toads, with the multicolored Toads wondering what Dry Bowser had to say on their account.
"To be honest, no. They look like all the other Toads running around this stupid kingdom." Dry Bowser remarked dryly as he shook his skull, going back to mowing.
"Hey, does anyone want to taste my toenails?" Toad asked as he showed a jar full of them to the three Toads, which disgusted them all as he left in disappointment.
