"Montana," Danny's familiar voice called out from the bedroom. I turned around from the stove for a second to look at him.

"Yeah, Danny?" I smiled, always happy to see him. He wasn't fully dressed, only in his pajama pants. Seeing him shirtless made me want to run over to him and kiss him all over.

"What's the weather gonna be today?" He was grinning. Probably at seeing me smile at him with no shirt. So full of himself sometimes. But I loved him regardless.

"Um… I think the report said thirty degrees or so? Not too cold. Just throw a little jacket on." His face twisted when I told him the temperature. "Definitely can't go out with no shirt on, though," I giggled.

To this Danny grinned again, but his mind went back to the actual temperature. "So thirty degrees isn't cold, huh?"

"Well, when you grow up in Montana, where it snows all winter?" I said, raising an eyebrow. "No, not really." I remembered back to the days in Montana, and our freezing winter days. It wasn't long before my mind trailed to the murder of my friends and I had to think back to the good stuff or I'd get upset.

Danny gave me the strangest of looks before he rolled his eyes, laughing. He turned around back into the bedroom, and I turned back to the food cooking on the stove. My mind wandered back to the snowy days in Montana again. I wished for once that it could be snowing here. Maybe snowing as fiercely as it would back home, giving us multiple feet of snow. In New York, it hadn't even gotten very cold until early November; whereas in Montana, it would've been colder than this in September.

I was shaken out of my reminiscing when Danny wrapped his warm arms around me. "How can you stand it, Linds?"

"Stand what?" I mumbled, taking in a deep breath of his sweet smell. I spun around in his grip so we could face each other.

"Montana." Danny gave me a funny look again with his eyebrows raised high.

"What?" his little word use confused me.

"The weather. The weather in Montana, Montana." He laughed at his word play and I laughed along, just to humor him. So what, I love him. Even his ridiculously stupid jokes could be funny sometimes.

"I dunno. I kinda like it. I miss it a little." I snuggled into his neck, sighing. His arms wrapped tighter against me, like he feared I was going to go back to Montana sometime soon.

"You like it? It's crazy weather, Linds! And you get colds all the time."

"Ah, I like it because," I paused, snuggling deeper into his neck and taking in a big breath of his refreshing scent. "Because of all the cuddling."

"Cuddling?"

"Yeah, Danny. When it's cold, you cuddle, silly."

Danny swooped me up into his arms, carrying me to the couch. He sat us there, letting me sit in his lap. I wiggled around for a second before I got comfortable. My head lied on his breathing chest, my arms wrapped around his neck, and my legs splayed out past his lap.

"Like this?" he whispered into my hair, wrapping his big arms around my body.

"Just like this…" I sighed. When I looked up to his face, I only had a second before Danny's lips caught mine in a kiss. We sat like that, kissing passionately for a few minutes before we heard a noise from the bedroom. A soft noise. A soft cry.

I jumped off his lap, smiling. "And that's what comes from cuddling too much, I guess," I whispered to him, winking, before I hoped up to tend to our child in the other room that stirred.
