Summary: I started to think of Sarah and Derek, and I like them together and I have written a few one-shots about them before. I started writhing an ending for them, a bit sad, but it felt right. (But it doesn't need to be my last one-shot about them)

An Ending and a Beginning
Derek and Sarah was on their knees, opposite each other, both with a gun pointed at their heads.
The war were raging behind the brick walls and they were losing. Sarah and Derek are minutes or maybe seconds away from their deaths.
The legendary Sarah Connor on her knees with her soldier Derek Reese.
Derek captures Sarah's gaze one last time, tries to give her courage. But he doesn't need to, in her eyes humanity shines like a rising sun.
Sarah doesn't let go of Derek's gaze and instead of courage he gives love, his love for her. They drink each other in and finally set their feelings free.
The one thing the machines cannot do and never take away.
"He challenges me" "she inspires me"
"he mended my heart" "Her hair smells like roses"
With a silent agreement they move towards each other and everything went black.
