The False Emporess of the Vampian

The world has been in turmoil ever since the vampires invaded. All that remains of the human race live in make-shift shelters. Can one group of people save the world, and humanity? As usual, it's up to the Doctor and... some old friends. Although, are they all friends? With planet Earth out of bounds, there is no escape from the False Emporess of the Vampians and her clan.

Chapter One- Run

A/N Hey guys, this is a new Doctor Who story I've been working on. I haven't written it all already, so please feel free to comment your ideas. Chapter One isn't very explanatory, but Chapter Two will sort most of that out. Set after Series 4, but the Doctor didn't regenerate. I hope you enjoy!

"Doctor!" Rose stumbled backwards, away from the fangs that were stretching towards her neck. The Doctor flew around the street corner, coat flapping, and blasted the creature with an energy ray from his gun.

"We have two minutes until his systems reboot and he regains consciousness. MOVE!" The Doctor ran, grabbing Rose's hand and dragging her along with him. They sprinted through the streets of London as fast as they could. The roads and pavements were littered with dead, pale bodies, drained of blood. Some corpses were slung across rooftops, others lay in gardens and driveways. Rose could hear nothing but her heavy breathing and hammering heart. She glanced back and saw the fanged, blood-thirsty... things that were now chasing them. The Doctor dragged her sharply around a corner. Pressing against the wall as hard as they could, they tried to just slip away into the shadows. They could hear the rabble of noise, and then the pack bounded past.

The Doctor and Rose started to run again. They turned swiftly onto a back alleyway, and dropped down next to a corpse. The Doctor felt the corpse's skin. "Still warm. Not long dead. You know what to do."

Rose smeared the corpse's blood onto her hands and face. The first time she'd had to do this she had thrown up. It was disgusting and disrespectful, but they had to smother their scent, or the vampires would track them. They ran on for 5 minutes, the Doctor blasting vampires as he went. They arrived at the shelter, banging on the door.

"Password?" Someone said from inside.

"The Medusa Cascade," the Doctor replied.

The person slid back the built-in slot. "Teeth." Rose and the Doctor bared their teeth. The sound of the bolt being slid back, and the steel, reinforced door opened. Jackie stood in the doorway.

"Doctor. There's someone here to see you."
