Jinx walked down the city streets of Jump tonight. She was dressed in her favorite black sweater and a hat that she saw in a thrift store that she thought suited her best. The hat was a white knitted one and she remembered thinking she deserved a gift from herself, afterall, switching from a villian to a hero was no smal feat. At least she had her Kid Flash to help her through it all, but this happened to be the reason she was talking a stroll around town at nine o'clock at night anyway; he was late. She never understood how a boy who could go faster than the speed of light could never meet her anywhere on time. She told him to meet her at that cute little ice skating place where they could spend a nice Christmas eve together drinking hot chocolate and making fools of themselves. Of course, Wally was half and hour late, and Jinx decided that if he was going to show up at all he might as well come find her himself.

A gentle breeze that could hardly be noticed on the winter night swept by her and she knew it was him. 'Good,' she thought, 'I need to talk to him about not being so late all the-'. But her thoughts were interupted by Wally sweeping her off her feet in a bridal fashion and running off to where ever he wanted to take her. Jinx, knowing the feeling of his super speed, did what she usually did and tucked her head into her chest and closed her eyes tightly to keep the wind from making her eyes tear.

As soon as she opened her eyes she felt warmer with her sweater and jeans and looked around at where she was. Kid Flash hadn't put her down yet, and she was all right with that, the view was amazing. She could tell they were in paris by the french writing everywhere and the fancy shops, though she had to squint to read the names. As she realized this, she got curious as to where she was at the moment and the big mistake of looking down.

"Wally," Jinx looked up at him, nervous and slightly amused, "why are we standing on top of the Eiffel Tower?"

"Because this is a very lovely view." He said, smiling down at her. Jinx blushed and then realized something else.

"Perhaps it's because all the tables in the restaurant themselves are taken, hm?" She wasn't mad at him, she just wanted to see him squirm. She did, afterall, already pay for their ice skates.

She looked up just in ime to see his smile falter and then a grin replace it on his face.

"You know me too well," he said, slightly shifting her in his arms, "but I did just spend the last twenty minutes getting this thing to balance on here."

She looked down at the tiny space on the very tipy top of the Eiffel Tower and noticed Wally was actually standing on a piece of card board. However, she noted intrestingly, there was a skinny pole covered in duck tape and taped to one of the corners of the little square of cardboard. Her eyes followed the stick up to see it slightly lean over them with a small piece of mistletoe at the end.

She had a bunch of different expressions that she thought she might use and a hundred different things she could say but settled for tossing her head back to the wind and letting out a cheery laugh that could be heard in all of Paris. Wally sheepishly grinned at her and asked, "What do you think?" Although he already knew by her laugh that she loved it.

"It's you," she said, smiling at him, "it's perfect."

And with that, Wally leaned in to kiss her and she knew it was the best Christmas she ever had.

The End.
