"I can't believe Cece's weeding went down in flames like that." Schmitt said looking at Nick as he said it. There was a moment of silence and suddenly Nick blurted out "Schmitt I want to marry Jess." Nick sighed "and I need you to help me follow through. She can't be the one that got away." Schmitt looked him the eyes and replied, "I'll help you on one condition." Nick looked shocked. He couldn't believe his best friend was going to give him a condition for getting the girl of his dreams. Schmitt finished with a subtle sounding voice, "You need to help me do the same with CeCe" Now Nick was really shocked. He thought Schmitt was finally over her.
It was 6 or so months after that Nick and Schmitt went to a jewlrey store and picked out the rings. Schmitt picked out a nice silver ring with a huge princess diamond in the center and two smaller princess diamonds on the side. Nick picked out a ring with a heart shapped diamond in the center and two very petite round diamonds on either side of it. Not very traditional, but perfect for Jess.
It was a week after that when Schmitt went over to CeCe's apartment and Nick took Jess to dinner. Then in two sepperate parts of the city at the precise moment both Schmitt and Nick pulled out a little red velvet box. Once the boxes were opened and both men were down on one knee they both looked into their girl's eyes and said the words every girl waits to hear.
"Will you marry me"
