The Doctor and his nephew
Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who, I do own Luke and any scenes not in the tv series
A/N I had this idea a while back, though it took me a while to have enough courage to post it. This is my first fanfic, so please be fair when reviewing.
The prologue is set immediately after the War Doctor regenerated, though how the Ninth Dictor could change his outfit and interior without knowing what he looked like is beyond me.
Prologue
I stood on a street corner across the junkyard on Totter's Lane. My uncle, the Time Lord known as the Doctor, had sent me a message saying he needed to talk to me and to meet him at this place and time.
Just as I started to lose hope, I heard the familiar sound of engines groaning and the Tardis appeared in the junkyard.
I ran across the road and through the police box doors, where my uncle stood by the console with a grim look on on his face. He'd regenerated since I last saw him, just after the war began. He looked about middle fourties, though in reality he was actually 900 years old. He had short black hair, and was wearing a maroon coloured jumper and a black leather jacket. It was unusual, as he prefered to wear clothes that made him stand out. What did stand out were his ears. I almost made a joke about them, but the seriousness on his face stopped me.
"I got your message, what's up"? I asked him. He looked at me like he wasn't sure where to begin. Finally, he spoke. "It's about Gallifrey." He said. He told me how he put a stop to the Time War by destroying Gallifrey, obliterating both our people and the Daleks. "We're all that's left."
"I'm going to continue exploring the universe, would you like to come with me?"
"Of course." I said. "You're the only family I have left."
And so we started traveling together, the last two Time Lords in existence.
