The only sound that could be heard at the bus station where Oikawa and Sugawara coincidentally both took shelter was the heavy raindrops.
Unfortunate for the two standing there awkwardly, neither of them had umbrellas nor did it seem that the bus was coming anytime soon.
"It's raining hard, isn't it?"
Sugawara decided to break the silence.
"Well, it is raining season."
"What's with your expression? I take it your not too fond of the raining season?"
Sugawara asked Oikawa who still held an annoyed expression.
Oikawa answered.
"I'm fine with just rain itself. It's the season I don't like. There's muddy puddles everywhere to watch out for, I can't even jog in the morning. And when your shoes and clothes gets wet, it starts to stink and the moisture and humidity annoys me too. Not to mention my hair loosing it's style because of it! Do you have any idea how much effort I put into setting my hair perfectly in the morning?! Not to mention all the troubles I need to go through if I happen to forget my umbrella, like today!"
Listening to Oikawa talk as if the awkwardness never existed between them, Sugwara answered while trying to conceal his amusement.
"Well, other then the difficulty of jogging, getting wet due to puddles or forgetting your umbrella isn't technically the season's fault.. and it's inevitable for the moisture in the air since it's raining."
"Hmp! Seems like you like the season, don't you, Mr. Refreshing? Of course Mr. Refreshing wouldn't understand how much time and effort I put in to stay in top shape!"
Mr. Refreshing?
Although unsure of what to say about the unknown nickname, Sugawara answered the complaining Oikawa.
"Well, the sound of rain falling, isn't it calming? I enjoy watching people during raining season. All those colourful umbrellas moving to their destinations under heavy rain. And instead of jogging in the morning, I will wake with the sound of raindrops falling as my alarm. Waking up and watching the raining scenary, I enjoy those peaceful moments, personally."
Romantic and relaxed, aren't you.
Oikawa thought while looking at Sugawara.
Although his complaints about the raining season hasn't disappeared, Oikawa thought it was fine with it to rain once in a while with Sugawara's point of view.
"And isn't it fun, having unexpected encounters while sheltering from the rain? Like us?"
Looking at Sugawara smiling as he nicknamed him, Oikawa thought to himself.
Smiling like that is so unfair.
"Ah, my bus is here. Well then, bye, Oikawa."
Watching Sugawara leave without a second thought as soon as his bus arrived, Oikawa once again thought to himself.
Perhaps, raining seasons are nice.
The humidity and moisture he once detested was replaced by Sugawara's refreshing atmosphere and changed Oikawa's opinions.
Encounters.
Like us.
Recalling Sugawara's wordings, Oikawa once again thought to himself.
Perhaps, raining seasons are really nice.
Contrasting to his earlier mood, Oikawa left with a smile on his face when his bus arrived.
Looking forward for the next raining season.
