Author's Note- This was just a simple idea that came to mind. Hope you like this short one shot!

My brother is human again. My worst nightmare has come true. The cure was supposed to be for Elena but Kai somehow found out about it and forced Stefan to drink it. I hate him.

Stefan was passed out on the couch. Elena and I were waiting for him to wake up.

"Are you sure we should do this." I ask her softly while sitting on a chair.

"It's for the best, Damon. We can't let him suffer through this." She answered back to me. I knew she was right but I didn't want to lose my little brother. We didn't speak again until Stefan woke up.

"Hey, are you okay?" Elena asked while walking over to him.

"I'm okay, Elena. You can't ask me everytime I wake up." Stefan answered her. He had been human for a day already but she was still worried about him. Elena nodded back at him understanding.

"Stefan, we need to talk." I say while sitting next to him. I hate this so much.

"What, What's wrong?" Stefan asks worried. I sigh and look over to Elena. She nods back at me.

"We don't think you should stay in Mystic Falls anymore, not with you being human." I finally say to him. His eyes widend realizing what I'm going to do with him. He quickly stands up.

"No, Damon. Please, don't do this." He said down to me. I stood up and put my hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I can't." Elena said while crying and left the room. If she thinks this is hard for her, then I'm going to feel worse.

"You will leave Mystic Falls, forget everything about being a vampire, forget about being born in the 1800's, forget about everyone you've ever met. You will say that you were always human and your parents passed away. You are going to live a normal, happy life and die of old age." I say while compelling him. There were both tears in our eyes.

"I'm sorry, brother." I finally say to him. He blinks back to reality and slowly walks away towards the door. We will reunite, brother.

70 years later...

I was slowly walking towards a room. I just had to compell some people to actually find him. I sighed and slowly opened the door, and I saw him. It was Stefan. On the bed wasn't my 17 year old brother, but an old man, but somehow I knew it was him. He opened his eyes when he heard me enter.

"Who are you?" Stefan asked confused. I went over to him and sat by his bed.

"Believe it or not, Stef. I've been watching over you for all these years. I'm suprised you actually didn't screw up after all these years." I say with my usual smirk. He was still full of confusion.

"I'm sorry that I hadn't come to talk to you sooner. But I feel like this was the right time to talk to you." I say softly to him. He looked like he was going to speak but I interrupted him.

"You may now remember everything, Stefan." I say while looking straight at him. He closes his eyes and finally opens them.

"Damon.." He said softly to me with a smile.

"The Salvatore Brothers reunite again." I say softly to him with a smile. He then slowly closes his eyes with a smile. He doesn't respond so I start to concentrate on him. There wasn't a heartbeat.

"Goodbye, Brother." I say softly to him. Even though I'll never talk or see him again, my brother finally got a human life he deserves. And that's all I'm glad for.
