Emotions

He was only gone for a day at the most and it was only once every few weeks but he needed a way out, a way to escape. He needed to get out far enough away from all civilisation because it would drive them insane. He had has decades to cope and he managed it but he still needed a release. That was the downside of feeling everyone's emotions, that and he had to control his own.

Rosalie's depression, anger, jealously and pain. Emmett's mischievousness and boredom. Edward's protectiveness and anger. Esme's pain, although she doesn't let it show, he felt it. Carlisle's sadness, pain and depression after losing a patient. All this plus everyone's blood lust and his own guilt, pain and depression. It is all to much to take in and keep locked away instead of projecting it to everyone .

He ran for miles trying to find a deserted piece of land. He let it all out, all the anger, blood lust, jealously, depression and pain, collapsing on the ground from all the pressure. He let out a cry, a agonising, blood curdling cry. He just lied there for hours getting it all off his chest, all his suffering and pain, curled up in a ball.

The sun rose and set, his skin sparkling in the daylight, he didn't care, he ignored his skin shimmering like tiny diamonds and just lied there.

His pain and suffering coming to an end on the third day, he felt like a whole weight had been lifted off his shoulders, he felt lighter. He felt nothing now, no pain or anger, no jealously or depression and no blood lust for once he felt nothing.

He got up, still weak from the pressure of it all, with shaky legs, he needed to hunt, his eyes were pitch black and he needed his strength to get back home. He ran and fed on a grizzly and three dear, sucking them dry, not a drop spilled or wasted. He began his journey back home.

It was midday by the time he arrived back home, he thought about just slipping back into the background acting like he was never gone but he knew they would know. So he took a deep breath, not that he needed it and opened the front door.

He was immediately attacked by the little pixie it self, crushed into a hug. He wrapped her arms around her while she clung to him, he kissed her spiky ink black hair.

"I didn't think you would come back this time" she choked out.

By now the whole family was gathered around them and he was hit with their worry and fear for him. Edward gave him a nod, understanding where he'd been and why he had to leave.

"I'll always come back" he answered honestly and it was true he would always come back to her and the people who loved him, his family.
