What if Puss wasn't the only talking cat taken into the orphanage? What if they became best friends and maybe even more?... Chapter 1

? POV- I'm an obnoxious, care free teenager; well I like to think that anyway. Well I guess ya'll should know I'm an orphan. Yeah, that's my life. Living the life of a stray, eating garbage, and traveling a lot. What an awesome life, right? There's a possibility that I'd go to an orphanage, I don't know… I wouldn't trust the orphanage to take care of me though. Well anyways time to get to what matters right?

I'm wandering across the desert road; the cramping in my stomach was becoming unbearable from hunger. I held it with my paw trying to ease the pain; obviously that wasn't working. I looked up ahead and squinted my eyes, searching for any settlement to reside in.

Finally after three more scorching hours I spotted something. Trying to make out of what the image that was standing before me; and as usual, I trip over a rock landing on my stomach. "Ouch…" Picking myself up I finally read the sign. San Ricardo is what it said; well maybe there is better food in there so I'd take my chances.

I hobbled towards the entrance as I licked my nose, which had been scared by some idiot that was trying to get lucky. Yea because of that he ended up missing something later… As I entered the dimly lit town an eerie feeling crept up on me, but I suddenly panicked feeling a drop of water and what I realized next is that it was going to rain. I scurried off, curling into a ball of warmth as I laid back against a corner of a door frame, shivering like crazy.

Suddenly the door open making me fall backwards like a ragdoll.

"Awe, you poor dear. Don't worry, Dama will take care of you. You're going to stay safe here."She said softly petting my head as I purred at the pleasurable, gentle touch she gave me. Reminds me of when I was a kitten and my mother would lull us asleep. "Yeah, maybe… this isn't such a bad idea." I thought.

Well I guess it's time I properly introduced myself to ya'll… I'm Valerie.

I wanted to get started on this asap so I didn't do an introduction at the beginning. Any way I'll give her description next chapter and update the rest of my stories later this week. I haven't been sleeping great and had a lot of family gatherings to attend to. Adios mi amigos. Hasta la proxima! ( computer won't let me type right)
