"C'mon, Yuushi, please?" Gakuto whined, tugging at Yuushi's arm and trying to get him to take another step toward the platform, to no avail.
"No, no no, a thousand times no." Yuushi replied firmly, not budging from where he stood and in fact turning rather pale as he eyed the bungee jumping platform Gakuto was trying to edge him toward. "You jump, I'll watch. Falling several hundred feet to my death doesn't sound like fun today."
Gakuto pouted, turning every last bit of his persuasive powers on Yuushi; who even still didn't seem close to giving in. "Please, Yuushi, it'll be fun I promise. And if you don't like it, I'll never make you do it again. Just, please~? Just this once?"
Yuushi's eyes flicked to the edge of the platform and then back at Gakuto before he shook his head. "No, and that's not going to work. I already don't like it, there, that's the end. Go, have fun, don't let me stop you."
"But Yuushi!" Gakuto whined, deciding that the situation called for desperate measures. "If you jump with me, I'll watch Gone with the Breeze with you when we get home.
"Gone with the Wind." Yuushi corrected immediately, chuckling softly at Gakuto's mistake and at his change of tactic. "And that isn't going to work either, I'm not jumping to my doom and expecting a thin little cord to keep me alive."
"Yeah, that. Whatever." Gakuto frowned and tried to hold back his anger at Yuushi's laughter, where normally he would've gone off on him for it. "Look, it's just once. Quit being such a baby. Let them put on the harness, and then if you still want out I'll jump alone."
Yuushi eyed him warily, knowing that with Gakuto nothing was ever that easy. But he grudgingly agreed, knowing that he could still back out of it at the end; and maybe then Gakuto wouldn't be too mad at him for chickening out either. So Yuushi slowly cooperated as the attendant helped him figure out the harness and the many hooks and ropes intended to keep him safe. Somehow, the thin little ropes and knots against a fall like that didn't comfort him any.
As soon as they started strapping him to Gakuto, the tensai knew it was trouble.
"Well of course they have to stick us together. It's not like we can jump at the same time otherwise, we'd bang into each other and stuff." Gakuto quickly explained, holding completely still as the attendant worked out all the elaborate clasps. "Ready?"
"No." Yuushi replied immediately, trying to take a step back from the redhead only to find it was harder than it looked when they were stuck together. His eyes darted back over Gakuto's shoulder toward the drop just behind them, but Gakuto quickly reached up and grabbed his chin to keep him focused.
"No, don't look." Gakuto warned, "It'll only make it worse. Come on, you can do this." A pause, and Gakuto looked him straight in the eye. "On three. Ready?" Gakuto's eyes already held that spark of adventure, holding Yuushi's gaze fast so that he wouldn't look away and scare himself out of it again. "One..."
"Gakuto--"
"Two..." Without waiting for three, Gakuto reached up to pull Yuushi down into a kiss and quickly threw his weight backwards to throw them off of the edge of the platform.
Later that night, not only did Gakuto sit through the entirety of Gone With the Wind without complaint, but he also refrained from teasing Yuushi for his girly scream; for which Yuushi was eternally grateful. But the next time Gakuto decided to go bungee jumping, Yuushi refused to tag along.
